HOW TO TAKE CARE OF LEATHER SANDALS Congratulations for choosing these hand-made sandals. Their individuality is sometimes seen by slight variations in each pair. When deciding on the correct size of a pair of my footwear, please make sure that they fit your feet very snugly. The leather will naturally stretch, so what might seem too tight when you first try them on, will quickly become a perfect fit. The initial stiffness of the leather is also perfectly normal, as the shoe requires a break-in period. If you wish to speed the process, simply wet the strips of the sandals thoroughly when first wearing them. During this initial period you may choose to coat the interior straps of your sandals with vaseline in order to help avoid blisters. DO NOT USE ANY VEGETABEL OILS because this will compromise the strenght of teh leather and greatly limit their useful life. Please remember that your new sandals are made from the finest leather from all over the world and finished with a wonderful variety of stains and finishes. While sandals are perfect summer foorwear, please take care when wearing your sandals at the beach. Salt water will damage both the finish and the leather of your shoes. Your new sandals will give you years of good walking and much pleasure. In order to maintain their appearance I recommend that you use Lexol Products or Leathermaster. Wooden heels found on some models may be rejuvenated bu rubbing them lightly with fine sandpaper and oiling. Thanks you for your purchase and I hope you enjoy your new footwear. Jutta Neumann
